Patong Beach is enjoyed by all, be it families, young children, groups of lads and girls, couples, tourists and locals alike, there is something for everyone. The beachfront is also where you can hire a jeep or motorbike to explore the island.
For a break from the sea and sand head to Jungceylon Shopping Mall, packed with shops, restaurants and entertainment, a great place to stroll around and buy souvenirs. At night Patong really comes alive with bars, night clubs, pumping music, and plenty of dancing girls. The most lively part of town is Bangla Road, packed with crowds who flock to the bars and night clubs where the bar girls and pole dancers entertain.
Paradise Beach
A few kilometres south of Patong Beach is the calm and serene Paradise Beach, a great place to escape the crowds. The small beach has a rocky headland at either end, perfect for offshore diving. Divers and snorkelers can simply walk into the sea to discover the delights of the underwater world. Paradise Beach has calm clear waters, beautiful palm trees, and some light activities where you can windsurf or happily swing from a tree. Take a long tail boat to explore nearby beaches or chill on the sun loungers all day serviced by a rustic beach hut with cooling refreshments.
